After lunch with the guide you are going to explore one of the symbol of Palermo, Monreale, which is just 5 kilometers from Palermo.
The cathedral is an architectural masterpiece of the 12th-century, in which different styles are linked together: the architecture of northern Europe, Romanesque art and Arabic art. Outside, it is richly decorated by two bronze doors and the interior is illuminated by magnificent gold mosaics that culminate in the Christ Pantocrator in the apsidal basin as the highest expression of figurative art.

The Archaeological Park of Selinunte, the remains of what was once one of the most important cities of Magna Graecia. Currently this is the largest Archeological Park in Europe.
It is the best-preserved Archaeological Park in all of Magna Graecia. You will explore the site which extends over approximately 1,300 hectares. You will learn about a millenary history that began in the 6th-century BC with the foundation of the ancient Greek colony of Akragas, see the terraced levels of the site that used to be a center of the public life of the ancient Greco-Romans and marvel at the aqueducts and walkthrough the core of the archaeological site of Agrigento.
Piazza Armerina is a town set in the heart of Sicily. In this city is located the splendid Villa Romana del Casale, majestic imperial villa, originally the property of a powerful Roman family.
Here you will find the best conserved in-situ Roman mosaics in the world. The Villa Romana del Casale houses mosaic’s flooring, figurative and geometric, wall mosaics, columns, statues, capitals and coins. Since 1997 the city is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
During your walk you will discover many old Roman streets, as well as monuments such as the Greek Theatre, whose cavea is one of the largest ever built by the ancient Greeks.
Near the Greek Theatre, you will see the latomie, including the limestone cave known as the “Ear of Dyonisius,” as well as the Christian Church of San Nicolò ai Cordari. Admire the Amphitheatre of the Roman imperial age, and more.
Located at the park’s eastern end, and separated by a narrow channel, Ortygia is filled with Greek temples, Christian churches, and Arabian streets. Visit the Arethusa fountain and Piazza del Duomo, where the baroque palaces, such as Beneventano del Bosco Palace and Senate Palace are among the most beautiful in Sicily.

The second stop will be the famous island of Vulcano, which gives its name to all volcanoes. Have free time to visit its sulfurous mud baths, take in views of its smoking main crater, or go for lunch at a local restaurant.
On the way back to Milazzo, the tour follows the coastline to see the breathtaking Faraglioni Rock formation, the Horse Cave and the Mermaid’s Rock.
