Arrive in Rome

• Arrival in Rome with car/train/flight, optional transfer (not included) from the airport or station to your hotel.

Accommodation in Best Western Plus Universo 4 **** hotel or similar in the central city, well connected by metro, between Via Cavour and Termini Station, its position allows reaching the main attraction by walk.

• Afternoon at leisure for individual visits, overnight stay.

• Dinner in a characteristic restaurant in the ancient Trastevere district.

Vatican Museums

• Breakfast at the hotel, meet with the guide and transfer to the Vatican State. The morning will be dedicate to discovering the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.

There is a varied collection of artworks in the Vatican museums that span from ancient to contemporary times. Sarcophagi and mosaics share the space with masterpieces by great masters such as Giotto, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael to Dalì, Canova and Matisse.

• In the midst of so much beauty, the presence of a fragment of lunar rock donated to Vatican citizens by the former US president Nixon continues to amaze.

The tour ends in the Sistine Chapel where it is possible to admire the famous frescoes of the representation of the Last Judgment. Before leaving the Vatican, you will visit St. Peter’s Basilica with Bernini’s Colonnade that frames the Dome designed by Michelangelo.

• Afternoon at leisure for individual visits or optional activities. Return to the hotel individually, overnight stay.

Optional Climb Up to the Dome of Saint Peter's Basilica

• A unique experience with a view of the historic center of Rome from a truly unusual perspective that will leave the visitor breathless (lift to the terrace level and continue on foot for 320 steps).

Papal Basilicas of Rome

• Breakfast at the hotel, meet with the guide and visit to the remaining three Papal Basilicas in Rome.

We will start from St. John in Lateran, dating back to the 4th century and continue with the visit to St Mary Major. Here we will admire the mosaic floor of the Cosma marble masters, as well as the bell tower in Renaissance Romanesque style.

• We will conclude the visit with the Basilica of St. Paul outside the walls, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Afternoon at leisure for individual visits or optional activities.
• Return to the hotel individually, overnight stay.

Optional (not included): visit of Catacombs of San Callisto

The Catacombs of San Callisto are among the largest and most important in Rome.

Born around the middle of the second century A.D., they represent the cemetery complex of the Church of Rome. About half a million Christians were buried in them, including dozens of martyrs and sixteen popes.
Includes transfer, entrance ticket and guide.
